On August 1st, 2024, OfficerAlf discovered an exploit with the upvote/downvote system where the user can mass like/dislike a comment made on a video by repeatedly pressing the thumbs up/thumbs down icons, essentially making their comments the most top rated one, while other comments were downvoted to oblivion, putting them below VLTP comments. UtubeTrollDHS, OfficerCarnevil, OfficerSlappy and OfficerAutism soon caught wind of this and began abusing the feature to put themselves in the spotlight<ref>https://archive.ph/3auNx</ref>, causing an uproar among reactionary fans and viewers of the channels who started accusing the RTP of being "Soros-funded bots", and some accusing them of being someone else<ref>https://archive.ph/B1w2p</ref>, UtubeTrollDHS getting the most reaction. This exploit was later patched by the team behind Rumble, afterwards the accounts that participated were banned.
