TrollPunisherNinjaGear or TPNG was a well known anti-trolling group that gained traction on Google+. Over time, it adopted more extreme methods, evolving into a child predator-hunting faction and later into a troll collective active on Discord. Despite these shifts, TPNG maintained a moral stance against more malicious groups and individuals.
The group began as a small circle of friends from the Super Mario 64 Machinima community. It was founded by ThaSheetmon5, the original leader, alongside That Legend Guy, the initial second-in-command who later became leader and DeathRocket, the original third-in-command who retired in mid-2015. TPNG soon grew to include members like WaluigiFan32, Sackboy Exe, iWant94, Sebastian6078, and eventually outsiders such as Chaoanaya and Carter.
Before TPNG's formation, ThaSheetmon5 used to mock SM64 blooper creator Starman3, who had been exposed over pedophilia allegations. Though ThaSheetmon5's role was minor, he gained new friends like That Legend Guy and DeathRocket. That Legend Guy spent much of his time chatting with friends and developing Machinima ideas, while DeathRocket engaged through video comments and broadened his social circle. Both of them also had minor involvement in the Starman3 drama.
Eventually, an individual named Patrick Beal was accidentally drawn into the Starman3 controversy. Unaware of the full context, Patrick accused critics of Starman3 of being trolls. This led to tensions between him and those speaking out, including ThaSheetmon5. By mid-2014, ThaSheetmon5, That Legend Guy, and DeathRocket began encountering trolls, the same ones Patrick and his friends were targeting, this included UTubeTrollPolice members, around the same time, iWant94 was posting rants against the UTubeTrollPolice, which led ThaSheetmon5 and That Legend Guy to investigate further and discover Tommy Parky, a notorious troll and the founder of the UTubeTrollPolice. Inspired by iWant94, ThaSheetmon5 committed to forming an anti-trolling group to oppose the UTubeTrollPolice. That Legend Guy and DeathRocket were the first to join, disgusted by Tommy Parky’s actions.
