The UTubeTrollPolice (UTTP) was founded by Thomas Parkinson on February 12th, 2011.
(Reworked page, still WIP, vague guidelines on how this will be written, subject to change.)
The UTubeTrollPolice is one of the longest running troll groups on YouTube, with an incredibly prolific history behind it spanning back over a decade, many things from the group have sadly been lost to time throughout the years, especially becoming more obscure than ever due in part to Anime Sucks' subverting the UTubeTrollPolice, leading to the group becoming mainstream and current iterations being associated with the COM scene.
Tommy Parky's First Activities (2009-2010)
The first appearance of Tommy Parky online was in 2009 with the creation of his now suspended Twitter account (@tommyparky)[1], this would later serve as a UTubeTrollPolice account but prior to that it was for the usual trolling activities, the first tweet on the account was on February 27th, 2010 which linked to a now deleted Animoto video simply called "david parkinson"[2], the following tweets would be mostly links to Animoto videos with clickbait titles.
During this time period he had another Twitter account (@tommyparky666)[3] where he did much of the same thing, however one thing to note in particular is a video that the account linked was referenced by another Twitter account (@londongaysex)[4] showing that the first Animoto video that Tommy made was in November of 2009 and simply titled "Mr Gay UK 2009".
He had also been impersonating his brother and posting ads on the Liverpool Gumtree asking for gay strippers and singers[5][6], linking Dave's phone number as the contact, it's unknown why Tommy did this to Dave however.
Tommy's first ever YouTube account was known as 'southparkstudiosable' and is most infamously associated with how he'd targeted Glen Watson, known as allbabiesareatheists on YouTube at the time, ultimately causing Glen Watson to leave YouTube entirely due to the increasingly more persistent trolling from Tommy[7].
It's through these methods that Tommy became a semi-known troll on YouTube, being mentioned by TrollsNews while he was going under the alias MrCaptainHollywood[8], marking the first time he'd be mentioned in an episode until later on into his trolling career.
The Birth of the UTubeTrollPolice (2011-2012)
The original UTubeTrollPolice account was created by Tommy Parky on February 12th, 2011[9], quickly gaining attention and being mentioned on TrollsNews only five days after it was created.
"UtubeTrollPolice, he is truly obvious troll, this is typical trolling tactic: "lets go after trolls!", because who would suspect that troll will go after troll right? This gives troll opporutunity to make trolls angry and trollbaits hopeful and later angry ... in theory but it doesn't work as well as it used to. Because anyone with brain knows that there is no point fighting trolls. He is an obvious troll, because it is impossible to prosecude trolls only for trolling."
By February 20th the channel had 989 channel comments, 13,066 channel views and 6,411 upload views, attracting trolls who both took the channel seriously and those who realized it was a troll group and joined, however the original wave of officers was small and largely consisted of the actions of four people, including Tommy himself.
The Original Officers
The first ever officer documented in the UTubeTrollPolice is seemingly TheMrSuperMarioMan[10], as the first mention of him being involved comes from a TrollsNews video uploaded on February 22nd, 2011 which covered him and his involvement with the UTubeTrollPolice.
"TheMrSuperMarioMan, well he is a troll, because people who are accused by him of being racists are really not saying anything racist. He is just trying to provoke people. Also as it was mentioned utubetrollpolice is most likely behind all this."
Little is known about TheMrSuperMarioMan, even among officers who were active in the UTubeTrollPolice at the same time he was, those two in particular being StruttingB4 and StruttingPhil, known in the UTubeTrollPolice as the "Strutters" they set a standard that the UTubeTrollPolice would follow as it quickly grew under the three.
TheMrSuperMarioMan contributed in the fact that he's the reason why the UTubeTrollPolice uses phrases like "1ST WARNING FOR RACISM" and "RACISM IS ILLEGAL" as common spam replies to provoke a reaction, although his way of approaching the UTubeTrollPolice was vastly different from the Strutters, who would quickly take the leading role in the group going forward.
The first of the two to make an account was StruttingPhil, who created his account on January 14th, 2011[11] where StruttingB4 followed quickly after with his account being created on March 17th, 2011[12], the two would very quickly make a name for themselves on the platform from targeting 4chan affiliated groups and figures like Boxxy and Anonymous, comment spamming on videos and channel pages while also defending other trolls on the platform such as Justin Quaker, Eric Douglace, Coppercab and LifeInATent.
Early UTubeTrollPolice videos from the Strutters largely consisted of YTPMV style "rhythm" videos that synced to a music track, these songs were typically sourced from Anime like Evangelion or LapFox Trax artists like Renard, there were slight deviations from this standard on occasion however most future officers in the UTubeTrollPolice would directly emulate the style of the Strutters.
Problems soon appeared though, as for reasons which are still unclear, TheMrSuperMarioMan went rogue from the UTubeTrollPolice on July 24th, 2011[13]. This marked the first time a UTubeTrollPolice officer had become anti-UTubeTrollPolice, long before the term AUTTP came into existence.
"Reuploud this video to your channels if you are sick of the troll police. I was once a member of the troll police, but I quit after seeing the true nature of their ways. Since then, I have started a rebellion to end them once and for all. Join my rebellion if you want."
The most commonly accepted theory as to why TheMrSuperMarioMan went rogue from the UTubeTrollPolice is that, strangely enough, StruttingPhil was on his list of "Racist users I have to deal with", this is mostly evidenced by the next video he uploaded in which he shared private messages between himself and OfficerSimonPegg.
These DMs were relating to OfficerSimonTony trying to exchange login information, going further and saying how anyone who wasn’t StruttingPhil, StruttingB4, Tommy, or him was instantly a false officer, this ultimately revealed that the OfficerSimonPegg account was an alt of StruttingPhil, which is possibly what caused TheMrSuperMarioMan to go rogue.
StruttingPhil would later flag down the channel of OfficerSimonTony who returned to YouTube with the account OfficerSimonKevin on July 23d, 2011[14], leaving a series of comments on the discussion page of TheMrSuperMarioMan regarding being terminated.
Despite this however the Strutters didn't stop, only getting more and more traction as 2011 continued on, having numerous "response" videos made about them regarding their defense of the platform's trolls or general spamming, inspiring more trolls to join them in the UTubeTrollPolice.
Two other officers of note who joined in 2011 are justiceforce100[15] and UTubeAgentMulac[16], justiceforce100 is most known for his unique editing style while UTubeAgentMulac is the first example of a target of the UTubeTrollPolice joining the group after realizing what it's true motives were.
The UTubeTrollPolice carried on well into 2012, spawning even more trolls who saught to emulate the Strutters, this would bring the group even further into the public eye of the still relatively small YouTube platform at the time, it would also leave a lasting impact on the way trolling on YouTube is carried out even outside of the UTubeTrollPolice itself.
